Assembler

REM^®has an opening for a Mechanical Machinery Assembler to join our production team.

The job of the department is to assemble, test and verify machines are running and working as they should before being packaged and shipped to customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assembles machinery, such as crushers and conveyors, according to blueprints and shop orders, for processing materials, such as UBC, PET, OCC, and ONP
• Positions parts in frame of machines, using overhead cranes or forklifts, and bolts stationary parts in place, using impact wrench and hand tools.
• Test and adjust machinery.
• Fasten lift chains to or around machines and directs overhead cranes in moving machines to storage areas.
• Package machinery and parts to be delivered to customers.
• Measure, cut and lace belts for conveyors.
• Shipping and receiving machines, machine parts and other misc. items for shop.
• Other duties as needed by lead or supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanically inclined
• Forklift Certified (preferred but not required)
• Physically capable of regularly lifting 40 lbs. at a time
• Reliable and hardworking
• Teachable attitude
• Work well in a team environment

Compensation and Benefits
